Meaning:-

  • grow vigorously, to develop quickly

Adjective:- Flourishing
Trick:-

Flourish sounds like Flower rich. Land of Kashmir is Flower richbecause plants flourish easily in Kashmir.
Usages:-
  1. These plants flourish in a damp climate.
  2. His writing is plain and direct, with no stylistic flourishes.


EXORBITANT (Adj.)
Meaning:-

  • high price, greater than average
Noun:- Exorbitance
Adverb:- Exorbitantly
Trick:-

Exorbitant comes from Latin word "exorbitare" from ex-'out from' + orbita- 'course or trace'. All over meaning "Out of trace ".
Exorbitant sounds like extra orbit(area) tent means a greater than average.
Usages:-

CONCEIVE (V)
Meaning:-

  • to form an idea, a plan in your mind
  • become pregnant
Noun:- Conception, Conceiver
Adjective:- Conceivable
Trick:-

Conceive Comes from Latin word "concipere" from com/con- 'together' + capere- 'take'.
Conceive sounds like Can Save . In the battle a good plan (conceive) can save  soldiers.

CONTENTIOUS (Adj.)
Meaning:-

Meaning:-

  • to move quickly and suddenly to one side in order to avoid somebody
Adjective:- Dodgy

Dodge sounds like hedge and hedge means to avoid, hinder. SoDodge means "To do hedge. "
Usages:-
  1. She ran quickly, dodging between the trees.
  2. We had to dodge their missiles.


SURGE (N/V)
Meaning:-

  • to move quickly and with force in a particular direction
  • to fill somebody with a strong feeling, sudden increase of a strong feeling
Adjective:- Surging
Trick:-

Surge sounds like Sir GSir G (respected teacher) moves quicklyat the time of exams in the exams hall.
Surge looks like SurgeonSurgeon moves quickly into the Operation theatre for performing operation.

CASUALTY (N)
Meaning:-

  • Victim, a person who is killed or injured in war or in an accident
  • the part of a hospital where people who need urgent treatment are taken

Usages:-

  2. Our primary objective is reducing road casualties.
